The history of propxt

In 1999 David Redfern, famous photographer and president of the British Association of Picture Libraries (BAPLA), decided it was time to market his extensive photo collection digitally. His son Simon Redfern, having programmed the back office IT systems used by Redferns since 1992, suggested building musicpictures.com and the required image managment systems. Simon built the first version single handedly and then gathered a team of experts and propxt was born.

Now Simon and his bright and funky team are ready to present you with our services - and to provide you with the tools you need to run a successful image library. As a picture library ourselves, we have first hand experience with many of the issues relavent to the market. Propxt benefits from being developed in close collaboration with two major picture libraries over a period of 12 years.

Our team lead by Simon Redfern is based in Berlin, Germany. We make frequent trips to London and other capital cities. Members of our team speak fluent English, German, Spanish, Italian and French.
